Set your cart at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your service day with the lid closed and the opening toward the street. Keep carts 3 ft. from mailboxes, cars, and other carts. Bag household waste to prevent litter and odors. Please see the Guidelines & Policies on what we can & cannot haul away with your trash pickup. Extra bags or bulk items (furniture, appliances) require a scheduled pickup—please contact us in advance. If we miss you, leave the cart out and let us know for the next available return.

All customers are assigned to Recycling Schedule A, with a few exceptions. In-town Berthoud residents who live south of Mountain Avenue, residents who live west of County Road 21, and all Niwot residents follow Recycling Schedule B instead. If you are unsure which recycling schedule applies to your address, please contact our office and we’ll be happy to confirm your pickup schedule. Residents of the Prairiestar neighborhood in Berthoud receive weekly recycle pickup. Please see the Guidelines & Policies for a list of recyclable items.

If your regular service day falls on a holiday, please note that collection will be delayed. We do our best to keep these interruptions to a minimum, but we want you to be prepared in advance. This way, you’ll always know exactly when to expect your pickup, even during busy holiday weeks.
